  • I never thought I could work out in the morning without eating breakfast. But now that I am on the keto diet, and am using ketones for energy instead of glucose, I do NOT need to eat. It’s the most euphoric feeling, and after 30 minutes on the elliptical I feel like I want to just keep going and going. I still have about 80 lbs to lose. I’ve lost 16 lbs already.

    • I’m now doing OMAD, so basically I eat lunch either at noon or 1:00 pm, depending on when I get my break at work, and that’s my only meal of the day, and then I work out early in the a.m. Before going to work. The only thing that is hard is to get enough calories into my one meal!

  • problem with keto i feel i eat too many calories. I got bad cramps in my legs the other night and drank picker juice. Love pickle juice. I was doing 19/5. i was doing that everyday for a few weeks. Going to do 18/6 and through a 20/4 only a few days a week.

  • Great info Dy Ann – I am thinking of taking one of your courses soon! Love that you specialize in helping the aging woman because I know info for this age group is lacking.

  • Hello! I found you a year ago. I found that one meal a day works for me. I’m back working on fasting while working out but at times my sugar is really low. All I want is vegetables and bake chicken I love it.

  • New to Community! Keto since Nov. 2018. LOVE the KETO Lifestyle. Generally fast 3-4 X a week. Generally do a 18 to 20 hours fast, fasted work out, then I eat a high fat/low card. Losing fat at 52, and building muscle. Never felt better! Keytones at 3.2 after a 20 hour fast using Keto Mojo! Insulin was at a very low 63 before breaking fast. Keto all the way! Now if I could get husband to stop snoring for a better sleep lol.

  • I have no problem doing a 20-22 hr fast, my issue is the “mental” aspect of getting past dinnertime.

  • My friend lost over a hundred pounds in one year and he never worked out. just high protein and fat and little to zero carbs, Two meals a day 6 hours apart and then he would fast for about 16-20 hours, thats it.

  • I am so happy I found you here on You Tube! Thank you for all of your excellent nutritional information. I look forward to starting this journey with you and your You Tube family. I have heard awesome reviews on you. Thank you!

  • I’m really studying all I can to learn all I can to do correctly. I already do dirty keto..But would love to get this in My life. Thanks for all ur information!

  • When you say you had fat without protein what do you eat? I’ve been intermittent fasting for about 1 1/2 years. I lost 55 lbs but still need to lose more weight. I usually do 20/4. But my weight lose has stalled. Also, I don’t get much sleep. Some nights I sleep maybe 2 hours.

  • Hi we seem to have the same issues except for diabetic for me.. This is now my third day of fasting which isn’t bad at all. I’m on the 16-8 fast soon I’m increase the fast to get better results.. I enjoy the information. I want to join.

  • Thank you Dy Ann for all the great info. I have a question: There are many IF influencers who recommend lemon water or ACV in water during a fast. For example Dr. Jason Fung, Thomas DeLauer, and Dr. David Sinclair. This confuses me.

    • Test it out. See if what they recommend works for you. You are the only one who can say what works for you. But if you are trying to balance out your hunger hormones so you can lose weight and hormonal belly fat…are you willing to take a chance on Lemon Water and ACV?? Not me. I listened to all the EXPERTS and ended up more sick, heavier and discouraged. Which one of those 3 is going through what you are going through?

  • Hi doctor! I’ve been watching your videos and I’m inspired to change my life around. When you lost your weight, did you have insulin resistance, pre-diebetes, sub clinical hypothyroidism? What was your starting weight and what are you now? I have these conditions and it makes it harder to achieve my goals, lose the weight and start burning off the stored fat around my stomach. My sleep is restorative, I get 8.5 or 9 hours. What advice can you give me for actual fat loss budge despite these horrible conditions that hold on to my fat for dear life? Thank you x

  • Thank you for posting your videos! You are an inspiration and I love listening to your tips, tricks and motivation !

  • 1 ) Keep insulin low when breaking your fast !
    2) Adapt a keto -like life style
    3) Extend the length of your fast – 20hour clean fast minimum

  • I have been doing a 8/16 fasted lifestyle for over 1 year with keto… but I have had a terrible time sleeping. Been working on it for over 2 years. I use the AutoSleep and pillow applications to monitor it from my I watch which have been helpful but am still struggling. I would like to see if I can do a 4/20 fast and so far have not been able to stretch it further. I am really having cravings lately and although I am only going to keto no sugar sources for satisfying sugar/chocolate cravings I am really struggling…I think I need to push fasting further to see results and stop the sugar and caffeine cravings. I want both constantly and have been giving in to only the morning coffee thus far. I have been noticing I want it even more though and I am hoping fasting longer will help me break free of this as well as achieve more in my fat loss as well.

  • I can’t believe how calm and focused I feel. I used to be somewhat Attention deficit. I am definitely benefitting mentally since IF.
