  • Thank you for doing this. I worked along with you and didn’t realize how stiff I have become since our stay at home ban has been in place. I will be doing the exercises
everyday until I can get back to doing my thing. Again thank you. It was sent to me by my dear friend Gwen your mother in law. So thumbs up to you

    • Thank you so much, Elaine. I will be putting up some balance classes soon as well. If you’d like, let me know what type of class you are used to and I will do my best to create them for you.

  • I have had several back surgeries and have weakness in my legs. I have done 2 different workouts on this channel the last couple of days. The one I did yesterday had some strength training and the one I did today was basically cardio. These work great for me because I can’t really do standing exercises without support. I hope that I can keep doing these.

    • I’m thrilled to hear the workouts worked for you. I am in the midst of creating more gentle classes and hope to have them uploaded soon. If you subscribe and hit the notifications button (the bell beside subscribe), you’ll be notified when new videos are uploaded. I create videos for various levels of ability so just watch for the ‘true beginner’ or ‘beginner’ videos to see what suits you best. Thank you for your comment…truly appreciated.

    • @Improved Health I did subscribe but I will look for the notifications bell. I also need to work on my balance so I think that a video like that would be helpful also

    • @Mary Beth Minton Hi, I actually have two classes that would likely be very suitable for you to work on your balance. If you go into my channel, underneath the channel name you’ll see ‘home’ then ‘videos’ then ‘playlists’. You can either scroll through the videos under ‘videos’ or look at the ‘playlists’. Under the standing exercises (in the playlists), you’ll see one called, ‘The best standing leg and hip strengthening exercises for seniors’ which will work on strength in your legs which in turn, helps your balance. I also have one class specifically for balance exercises which is great for beginners. For all of these exercises you can use a chair for assistance, or even two chairs if needed. Hope this helps!

  • Thank you for your awesome video. Finally something I can keep up with. I didn’t realize how stiff I was! Guess what ? I feel so much better! Please keep them coming!

  • Thank you. My mom has Parkinson’s and she needed some exercise so we set it up (I am in Ireland and she is in America) so we could watch together and exercise via live video. It was just the right amt of time and not too difficult but enough to challenger her. Thanks!

    • What a great way to spend time with your mom. A tough time for us all with the restrictions but especially for those with family members far away. I’m happy to hear you’re able to do this together. I’ll be posting more walking videos soon. Thank you for your comment. Love Ireland btw! Gorgeous country.

  • This workout was really great. I just did it with my 95 year old dad, who really needs some movement and exercise. He was very focused, and he did very well. Thanks so much!

    • I’m thrilled to hear it worked well for him. If you go to the playlists, you will find more at that same level (gentle) that should also work. Thank you for commenting!

  • I’m a 94 year old woman who lives mainly in a chair and it is very important for me to get exercise so that I can get stronger so I can maybe some day walk. So thank you very much for your exercises that I can do every day!

    • Hi Susannah, I am so happy to hear you are able to follow the classes and benefit. You will get stronger if you exercise every day. I highly encourage you to challenge yourself with using light weights for upper body if you are able and do as many sit to stands as you can to build strength in your legs. If you email me directly on my website, I could learn more about your limitations and then I could create a specific class which would work well for many others, too. I would love to help you on your journey.

  • This is a really good workout for the upper and lower body. I really took to heart the resistance pressure you suggested to put on our upper arms. In a few weeks, when I was using my arms, I felt really defined muscles that had gone dormant/become weak since my accident. Now they are on the way back thanks to your great instructions and workout. Thank you. I feel so much stronger.

    • I’m very happy to hear you are using weights…a lot of people underestimate the importance of strength training. Being strong is super important for fall prevention. Keep it up!

  • This is an excellent workout. I’ve been doing it for about a month since I am unable to be on my feet because of plantar fasciitis. I have started using two little one pound weights that I pick up off the floor the first time you bend over to do tricep work and then keep using until you go into stretches. I hope to build up to my three pound weights soon. Thank you!

    • Thanks for the comment! I am thrilled to hear the workout is helping and that you are using weights. If you go to the playlists, you’ll find more workouts to give you some variety.

    • @Improved Health as soon as my foot heals up I’m going back to the 30 minute with chair. And then, who knows?

  • Thank you so much for this fantastic upper body workout it really hit all the right spots. I was also admiring the two displays on either side of you. I actually went to stores expecting to find something similar… but I found nothing.. they are lovely 😍

  • The second workout, on chair, after a 🧍‍♀️ workout , both from this great channel.
    Thanks 😊 Jules!🙏🌞🌷🌷

    • Good for you for doing the two workouts. I love how you and other viewers stack the workouts to create the best workout for yourselves.

  • Thank you thank you thank you !I’m a 50 year old Fibromyalgia, chronic migraine warrior. There are days I’m on a walker , motor scooter or just plain couch ridden. I’m in physical therapy but wanted to get my strength back by exercise. Most videos wear me out quickly . I actually got through your entire video. You have restored my confidence and now I hope my health.

    • Hi Tracy, I am thrilled to read these workouts are manageable for you. If you go to my playlists, I have lots of gentle seated workouts. I’ll be creating more soon. As you get through them, please let me know if you have any requests for new videos. I am happy to make more for you to keep you motivated and to help you realize you can exercise to get stronger. Please touch base after trying more of the workouts. Thank you so much for writing a comment. Do what you can and be kind to yourself when you need a break.

  • This is a fantastic workout in only 15 minutes (that went so fast). It was just what my shoulders needed because I could hear the rumbling! Importantly for me, the leg lifting made me tuck my tummy in. (I am glad I had the fan on, essential in the Thai climate). Thank you for such a complete set of exercises while just sitting. I will definitely repeat this programme.

    • How nice it would be to need to have a fan on…only a few more months of our Canadian winter…ulgh. Oh well, I did get out for a x-country ski yesterday so I do try to make the most of it!

  • Love your videos been doing them for two weeks after my consultant advised more movement and feeling improvement in my back muscles after 2 hip replacements and 2 revisions that broke my pelvis in two places, so thank you I can manage your chair exercises really well

    • I’m so glad these workouts work well for you, Molly. Congratulations on starting with exercise!

  • Some time has passed since I gave a comment but I have continued with my exercises. I do admit to trying other programs sometimes but I always return to Jules and this one in particular for the evening break. Having to concentrate on the movements is so good for clearing my mind of today’s activities and news items. After many months of daily walks (weather permitting!) and “Walking/sitting at Home” exercises, my favorite is still the one I started with many months ago, “Mama Mia Walking Workout”. It is so good in every respect, especially for seniors like me who struggle with the indignities of old age!

    • Hi Bryan, I am very happy to hear you are still exercising (whether it’s with me or someone else). The exercises will always keep you younger:) And, we all age every day…as my mom reminded me once on my 40th birthday (when I was feeling old), we should be happy to get older since not everyone gets that opportunity. She’s so right. I now don’t mind getting older and feel blessed about it actually.

  • For once I’m glad YouTube decided to feed me older videos… the are great, the perfect pace for me (I’m 68) not too easy but not daunting at all. Your directions are perfect and the music helps.

    • If you want to see more of the gentle workouts, you can find them all under my playlists. I categorize each of the videos to make it easier for viewers to find the right workouts. I hope that helps:)
