WORKOUT to ABBA! | Mamma Mia Walking Workout

Join me for a workout to the Mamma Mia Soundtrack of Abba's fun music! This workout is just over 3000 steps with relatively easy moves geared to target your legs, arms and abs. Remember to cater the workout to your abilities and modify as needed. I grew up listening to my mom's records of Abba and had a fun time creating this one. I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for watching and working out with me! Please subscribe and write a comment! I'd love to hear from you!

Wishing you improved health!
Jules

  • Loved this workout! My daughter did this with my mom then came home and told me we needed to do it. My daughter is 31 and has Down Syndrome. It’s hard to get her to be excited about any physical activity. So of course I had to say yes. She does like to dance and Loves the Mamma Mia movies. This is perfect for her to get her moving! Thank you! This is a workout we will be doing on a regular basis.

    • I am SO happy to hear she enjoyed it and wanted to do it again with you! Makes my day reading comments like yours:)

  • This was a good workout.. And no talking 😊. Not that talking is a bad thing but some days you just don’t want to listen to the chatter. The music was great. Already looking forward to trying more of these. Thank you

    • I agree…I only work out to no-talking videos but some people only like the talking videos. We’re all different which is a great thing:). Thanks so much for commenting!

    • I totally agree with this. I find most of the talkers annoying (except for Lively Ladies). I am thrilled to have found Improved Health–it ticks all of the boxes for me.

  • Please note I do not have any control over the ads in this workout. When copyrighted music is used, YouTube creators do not have the option to skip ads during the video. YouTube chooses when and where to put ads. When I use non-copyrighted music in my other videos, I always choose to keep ads out of the workout. Thanks for understanding!

  • So glad I found you. A great way to gently get back into exercise on a regular basis. Us seniors still like to keep active and you exercise videos are perfect! Thanks.

    • You definitely put a smile on my face as I read your comment. Thank you so much, Judith. I work with seniors daily and I am super happy to provide manageable workouts so more seniors can be active and improve their quality of life.

  • Love, Love, Love this!!! Thank you so much for the working so hard to bring us great music and moves! I’m 70 this year and struggled a little but made it to the end the first time. My next 2 times got much easier but still sweat like crazy🥵, but I loved every minute ♥️ Please don’t stop.♥️♥️

    • You are so welcome! Thanks so much for your energetic, positive response (you definitely put a huge smile on my face!). Wishing you a fantastic and healthy 70th year!

  • OMG!!!!!! yesterday I looked over this workout and thought oh heck ya I can do this! Today this was my workout! I did it! Sweating up a storm over here! Thank you so much please make more like this workout! Loved it!!!!!!!

  • The global lockdown has encouraged many presentations for walking at home. This is the best I have tried with perfect music, a wall clock for 30 seconds a movement, and a bar to show total time. No talking. Low impact; a pulse-raising sweaty workout with a wide variety of movements (especially arms and shoulders) for an 82-year-old man. Thank you. I found you by chance today that led to a wonderful experience. And I survived the total time and number of steps (matched by my health ap)!

    • Ah Bryan, what a lovely comment to read. I am so happy to hear you enjoyed the music and the workout. Also great to read you continue to exercise at 82…I wish all seniors would be active like you to enjoy life to the fullest.

    • Your comment made me to remember my 75 years old PhD professor who left all young students behind during a fieldwork claimbing the Alpes. We were looking for plants at about 3.000 m alt.

    • Hello @Bryan! I also found Jules and her channel during lockdown. I was already doing good but sadly, had a short bout with depression. Hence I skipped a lot of the exercising, and put on weight again. However, I’m back just last week. It may take me a lot of effort but I’m positive I can go through this! So that’s why I’d like to thank you for this comment. I’m continually motivated by it. At 61, I know, it won’t be long, I’ll soon be 82. I hope to reach your age! Again thank you for the inspiration Bryan!🙏🏽🌻🌄🦋😊

  • I love that there’s no talking and we can hear the music. Also liked that it’s a much more aerobic workout than the Silver and Fit intermediate. Glad I found it.

    • I just found this, did 3/4 of it. I didn’t stop singing or smiling the whole way through 🤣. I agree with you. Not counting or yadda yadda. So much fun😍 I’m 67 and love when I found this 😍

  • Jules, I am very pleased to train with you. When I first saw your channel, I noticed that you show all the exercises easily, relaxed. I realized that this is exactly what suits me. Thank you for the pleasant, light atmosphere during the trainings. You make all videos enjoyable. I like the music you choose.
I have read that a 15-minute walk brings more relief from anxiety and tension than a mild tranquilizer! Walking triggers the release of endorphins, brain chemicals that relieve pain and stimulate relaxation. Now I understand why I feel happier and have a great mood after your trainings.
As wise King Solomon said: “A joyful heart is good medicine.” Thank you again!

    • You are absolutely right that walking brings more relief from anxiety and tension over medication! It’s unfortunate so many people underestimate the power of exercise for good mental health (including decreasing the chance of dementia!). I am happy to read you have discovered the mental health benefits:) Exercise is great for our physical health but just as important for our mental health.

  • Great job – very motivating. I love that you don’t spend a lot of time explaining why we should do this – it seems that you understand that anybody watching this already knows:-)

  • Super love this workout! Joint friendly, fun and easy to do for golden girls like me! Much love from the Philippines!❤❤💕

  • This is a great workout for me! This is the second day I’ve followed along with your workouts. After not exercising in so long, not working for a year, and a not so great health check-up I decided to start working out every day. No talking, and no distractions make this easy for me to follow. Thank you!

    • Welcome to my channel, Rhonda! I am so happy to read you are making a commitment to yourself to get healthy and to take care of YOU. I am certain you will feel great as you start getting into a habit of working out. It’s amazing what exercise does for the mind as well. If you go to my playlists, you should be able to find the workouts that suit you best. Thanks for joining me:)

  • This is still my favourite workout, music is so good. I like the two sets with the fasts walk intervals, i like the one with the thirty second slow spell in between, better than the sixty second rest, but both great workouts. You are amazing, and I am so grateful to you. Since I started, I have exercised with you 98percent of days, only occasional lazy days. :)) Thank you so much, don’t ever leave us. :))

    • Aww, thank you so much for taking the time to comment, and for your kind words. Congratulations for being so consistent with exercising! 98% of days is impressive!

    • I really love the simple moves and the music is so good,it reminds me of the good o’l days. Shared it with my friends and fam👍❤

  • Hey Jules. I enjoyed so much this Mamma Mia workout. I did it with my 41 years old daughter today. We have shared a really fun time. 🤗☀️. Thank you. Bonne journée 😊

  • fabulous work out! just what I needed. I love Abba and I love the no talking. you are easy to follow and make the work out fun! can’t wait to do it again!

    • I’m so glad to read that you found it easy to follow and enjoyed the workout. Thanks for letting me know:)

  • Enjoyed that -determined to keep doing these dance workouts – brings me out in a sweat in the best possible way and it’s a comforable workout and music to bookt – what’s not to like🙂

    • Aww, thank you so much, Cheryl. I love your comment (the smile is still on my face as I am typing). Thank you!!! 💖💖💖

  • Whew!!!! Good, energetic workout!!
I love this one so much!! Gotta sing as you exercise. Certainly got my heart rate up, and made me sweat. Feeling accomplished!
