glad to hear this today
Fast long…Feast well!!
I’m one of the women who is in transition to the menopausal season. I have been fasting 20/4 out of choice for more than 2 years now. I love this lifestyle that you help to create. Yes, I started IF on the very day I watched your video titled ” Why women over 50 should fast for 20 hours?” or something like that. and it has changed my life since. You are so powerful and convincing. Thank you for all the education.
Woo hoo! I love a woman who knows what she wants and just goes for it. You are my kind of person!! ❤️❤️
@@DyAnnParham Aaww, Love you right back. ❤❤
I struggle fasting past 16 hours due to head hunger. I used to be an emotional eater , have a gastric sleeve and am post menopausal. I did great fasting 16:8 for 8 months and lost 30 pounds, but now I’m struggling. I still have 25 lbs to go. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
“Clean fasting” read Gin Stephen’s book 😉
I am not a fan of Gin Stephen’s Book….but I would recommend clean fasting. Why is your HEAD HUNGRY? Lots of mineralized water, maybe some carbonated water, and some black coffee. It sounds like you just need to balance out your hunger hormones.
@@DyAnnParham I am well hydrated and use LMNT. I think it is a stress reaction at work- I’m a teacher and when I’m at school I’m still fasting until 11 or 12, but it has become a struggle. All I can think about is when can I eat? But I think it’s all in my head and a reaction to stress! This only happens at school . I don’t understand why – I did great August-Oct.
As always a solid common sense approach. How can you be starving with 20-100 pound of extra weight?
um, exactly!!
This will be great to share with all my friends who want what I have because of the fasting life style, but think they will starve!! It’s such a shift in mindset that has to happen to be successful!
I’m maintaining over -50 loss. Almost 2 years in! Still listen to stay focused! Mahalo from Maui!!!
Maintaining a 50 pound weight loss is amazing. And proof that you have created a lifestyle you CAN stick too. Love this for you. Big hugs!
I’ve maintained a 30kg weight loss for over a year now fasting at least 20 hours a day, and at least 16 hours on weekends. Lately though I’ve found the kilos creeping on even though I’m still fasting. I’ve gained 2.5kg since Christmas. Not sure if stress or lack of sleep might be a factor or if it’s hormonal. It’s summer holidays here in Australia so we’re all out of routine.
It might just be the routine shift. Just enjoy your summer and let the routine shift back when it is time for it to shift back.
@@DyAnnParham thanks – yes I think that’s probably right.
Thank you Dyann.
Very welcome
Hi Dy Ann. Wishing you, your family and the community a blessed New Year! I am watching the video on YouTube. I’ve been doing IF for 18 months and have maintained the weight loss, a size 12 and health benefits. Fasting is easy and being consistent in the feasting window is key. I like how you explain what happens to our bodies as we go through menopause. Thank you for challenging us and getting us to think things through. You are a blessing to the community you have started with Intermittent Fasting for Today’s Aging Woman. Thank you so much.
You are so welcome. Thank you for being part of our community. ❤️
Hello, good class again, but I have to say, I do miss the old version of your classes. Longer, more informative and I miss listening comments of other women. You answered lots of good questions I needed to ask too.
Maybe have these sessions every other day?
It just does not work for YouTube for growth. I will probably do one at the end of the month.
Great explanation! Good to know the difference.
Fasting is powerful.
This is my favorite description of how it works and the benefits for us. I am super passionate about fasting, it’s the easiest way to lose excess fat & improve health that I have ever tried. I am 1 year post menopause and very petite. Losing about 1/2 pound per week and feeling better than I have in many years! I’ve logged about 80 fasts so far and fast every day, it’s a permanent lifestyle for me now. I took a look at my life when I was younger and effortlessly slim and energetic-and realize that I naturally practiced intermittent fasting! So it’s a return to what works for me.
