Anti-Aging Workout // Strength & Balance Compound Combination Exercises!

Welcome to this full body strength routine that focuses on building muscle mass, brain health as well as balance! This workout is geared towards a more advanced beginner and senior.
Make the workout your own by using weights that are appropriate for you and going at your own pace. All exercises are set to a 45 second timer with a 15 second rest period.
The first 30 minutes of the workout is performed in a standing position, the last 20 minutes includes exercises on the floor such as abs, chest and triceps and stretching.
If you are not comfortable getting on the floor or want a shorter workout, just do the first section, you will still get a great workout!

I'm using a set of 10 pound (4.5 Kg) from Alta Fitness. They are so soft on your hands, prevent calluses from forming and are antibacterial! They are by far the nicest and most luxurious weights I have ever used.

  • Thank you Lauren!!! Really enjoyed this workout and challenge. I use a 10-lb weight for the exercises calling for one weight; I use a set of 8-lb weights for exercises using 2 weights. Sometimes I’ll drop to a set of 6-lb weights for the standing exercises requiring arm extensions straight out front or to the sides as I can’t seem to do quite do it…yet, lol. Not bad for a 73-year old! Been following you for several years now. Love your workouts and do various ones at least 3-times per week. I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to be active, regularly, and keep moving. I, myself, wasn’t always like this but then upped my game ~15 years ago, hitting the gym then eventually started hiking which really ignited my endorphins. Then got into more serious hiking, haha. The rest is history. Find a physical activity you love, even walking, and DO it! Your body and mind will thank you.
