  • I appreciate hearing you say that. It is something I discovered over the years. It is so important to feel good about your weight both mentally and physically. When I was at a weight that was more the official suggested weight for me, I could not sustain it. Then I would feel upset about that or inadequate or even guilty. Those feelings did harm to my overall well being. I really agree with everything you say about knowing yourself and your body. It not only takes time to get to that place. It takes you giving yourself the freedom to stand by what you know is true for you. Easier said than done though, but I continue to get better at it.

    • I agree. I have battled to stay at a lower weight and get so discouraged when I gain. My body keeps going back to the same weight. So here I stay and just keep myself eating healthy and working out daily

  • Thank you so much for this!! You are absolutely right–I’m the only one who lives in my body, so I am the best one to determine what my “healthy weight” is. Listening to my body and doing what it needs is far healthier than struggling to achieve an arbitrary number that may or may not be possible.

  • ❤👏👍❤️
(I’m wondering who would boo hisss this message unless they are telling someone else how much they should weigh. 😅)

  • Dear Pahla, I love love love ALL of your shorts. Each one poses an interesting question. And each question is a seed for contemplation. After listening to these brief videos, I feel centered and motivated. THANK YOU!

  • Thank you for reminding me that only I can determine my ideal healthy weight because I’m the one who has to live in my body. It’s amazing how many people think they have the right to tell you how much weight you should or shouldn’t lose, and sometimes it’s hard not to let the people closest to you influence your choices. Thanks for reminding me to listen to myself 😊

  • My current weight is definitely not healthy. Pahla’s method, shorts, videos and podcasts are all helping me to feel less stressed out and more confident about what I’m doing in this regard. I expect that in a few months I will have the opportunity be in a zone where I can experiment with how I feel and what is a sustainable healthy weight for me. I definitely feel good about where I am on the journey to a healthy weight. Thanks, Pahla!

  • I don’t like the fact that my doctor’s office uses BMI to compare actual weight to healthy weight. I’ve read enough about it to realize that it isn’t the best indicator.
