Gentle Pilates Stretch for Seniors & Beginners // Morning Stretching Exercises


Thank you for joining me for the is feel good stretching and activating routine. This is a great workout that can be done anytime, but I choreographed it especially for in the morning. I often find our muscles are tightest in the morning, so this is a great way to start your day!
Exercises in this video are performed to assist in pulling our shoulders back, straitening the spine, loosening the hips and activating the core muscles.
The first half of this workout is done in a standing position. The second half is performed on the floor/mat. Doing both is ideal, but this way you can still do some exercises if you are not comfortable with all standing or all floor work.

  • Thank you so much for your videos. I put my mom (she is 80 yo) to watch and follow your exercises. Normally I pause after each different movement and increase the number of repetitions until she learns it. If I don’t do it, when she finally understands what she needs to do, you are 3 movements ahead of her. She cusses a lot at the TV… I will try this new video to see if she complains less
