There is so much great music from the 1980’s but for today I chose some of my favourites for you. Since this is copyrighted music, there will likely be ads in the video so I apologize in advance, but I do not have any control over them. We’ll get in 3000 cardio steps today in the span of 30 minutes, and listen to some of the most popular and fun retro music from the ’80s.

If you enjoyed the workout, please hit the like button (thumbs up) and write a comment! All of your thumbs up and comments tell the YouTube algorithms that you enjoyed the workout so that way it will get ‘out there’ more, and more people will be able to discover the workout. If you want to see more of these workouts, please hit the subscribe button and ensure you turn your notifications on so you see future videos from this channel (to turn notifications on, hit the bell beside the subscribe button).

If you would like to see more videos with popular music, please consider donating to my channel. For most of my videos, I pay a subscription to a music company so I can use their music. This isn’t possible with the copyrighted music. When I use the copyrighted music, any income from the video goes directly to the music companies who own the rights to the popular music.

Brilliant workout, love the music of the 80s even though I was a teenager in the 60s! Thank you, your exercises are sooo good, even for us 70 somethings 😉 💪👌❤

  • I have been working out with you since the end of March. My A1c was 6.5. Last week I saw my doctor who ran my blood work again. It is now 5.6🎉 Thank you for what you do! You make a difference!!!

  • OMG Jules! This was fantastic! You are so VERY talented putting all of these together.
I was married in ‘80, first son ‘82 and second in ‘85. I thought I never heard music in the 80’s. WOW! I knew every song you played. The video was a fantastic workout. It will be my favorite video! Thank you for making these.

    • I’m glad to hear you knew every song and enjoyed the workout enough to call it your favourite:) The 80’s definitely had a lot of great music.

  • Oh wow, this was fun!! This was music that filled my house when my kids were in school and it brought back such sweet memories (they used to laugh at me because I knew the words to THEIR music). Such a good video, Jules. Thanks so much!

    • Funny, I’m going through the same thing with my kids now. I also wanted to give you a bit shout out for the donation to create more videos like this! Thank you so much, Valerie!!! You’ll have to let me know what music you would like me to use:)

  • What a nice surprise for the 4th of July. This was a great workout. Loved listening and singing along. (Hope the neighbors are hard of hearing). You are such a good person to offer these videos mainly directed at seniors. All of the comments show how much we all appreciate all of the work you do and all of the time, effort and expense that goes into it. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

    • Daisy, I do my workouts in my yard, to get sun and exercise, all in one. Granted it’s 90s here, this time of year. Mostly do it in backyard, were only a couple of neighbors can see. Some days like today, sun was only in front yard, so I worked out in front yard. We’re on a dead end. saw quiet a few vehicles, drive by the cross street, VERY slowly, today. One of my neighbors drove by and told me to “go girl”. 🤣 So forget what the neighbors think. Just “DO IT GIRL”. Once, a family friend drove up, saw me exercising, said, ” that just looks weird from street”. Now when he stops by, he wiggles his booty with me, some. 🤣😂🤗

    • @Joy R Lol, you’re awesome. We can all learn from you and try not to worry so much about what others think. Thank you for sharing, Joy. It sounds like your name suits you perfectly. 💖

  • Hello Jules. You managed to inspire me to do a workout today in the very warm weather. It was great fun. I love the music of the 80’s. I’m from Germany and have been following you for about 4 months now and I really like your training and you. Thank you.

  • OMG! Did you borrow my playlist?! 😝 My favorite 80s music! Down to “Self Control! I couldn’t believe it! What a great cardio workout! Thank you so much, Jules!

    • Lol, I’m glad you enjoyed it:) I had fun listening to all of the music again as I prepared the playlist.

  • This was such a fun workout and the music brought back fond memories of my kids all little. Thanks for all you do!

  • Hi Jules: this workout Is Fantastic. I love the music. Another amazing workout. You never disappoint me with your workout. I absolutely love all your workout videos. 😅

  • I really like this one! Great music and a great workout! Do you ever do anything with Bruce Springsteen’s music? Just a question. I really love what you do, thank you! I feel blessed to have found this!

    • I try to limit the amount of copyrighted music I use since anytime I create copyrighted music videos, the income goes to the music companies (I don’t earn any income from these videos). As I’ve mentioned to others, I’m okay with that occasionally but creating the videos is also extra income for me. I wrote about it under the video to explain it a bit further (in the description under the video) so viewers understand why I don’t always use popular music. In my usual videos, I pay a monthly subscription for music which I am allowed to use. I do enjoy Bruce’s music:)

    • @Improved Health Thank you for your reply! I certainly understand your issue about copyrights. I am just enjoying whatever you do!

  • Wow, I’ve loved everything you do but this is just so AWESOME. I checked it out yesterday after I’d already completed my sessions for the day, and then stayed up to complete more and more of the songs yesterday even though it was well past the time I needed to sleep. The quote you added to the end was so perfect- there is all this music in the world, and you found a way to lead me to all the music and movement I didn’t even know I was craving. I was in college when this music came out and forgot how fabulous all these songs- Gloria, Break my Stride, Girls just wanna have fun, ALL of them- are, though I hadn’t thought of them in years. THANK YOU for being so generous and giving and fun and supportive of ALL of us who need to work out and showing us how joyful, safe and no-fuss exercise and movement can be. Also: I LOVE the pink tights. Thank you for brightening my day. I’ll be doing this every day and contributing as well.

    • Well, I have to say, what an AWESOME comment to read. Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! It makes me happy to bring smiles to others through music and exercise:) 💖💝❤️

  • Hi I was also in high school in early 80s!!! Loved this workout even when it was soo fast:) More please!

  • Good morning 🌄
I took this video out in the world with me this morning (new to your channel) and then I came back in and did this workout with you.
OMG…I don’t know if YouTube gives out awards for amazing content but this should absolutely win an award for best workout video.
Having the song lyrics with movement and written instruction…OMG just absolutely brilliant!
My endorphins were running so high I almost started crying.
This is a definite feel good…feel amazing workout. 🤗
You have an amazing heart and it just comes right through in this 30 minute session ❤️🌹❤️
    Yes…play and repeat play ⏯️ forever ♾️

  • This is my 30 minute timer to get myself started moving in the right direction. I tried to do the 70’s by itself but I felt lost. So I ended up doing it later in the day to get my day started at like 2:00 in the afternoon 😂Part one and then part 2. Habits are amazing 😏
